Center for Creative Photography building

Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Saturday & Sunday, 1pm – 4pm

The Center is closed in observance of major holidays on: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
 

 

 

Location, Parking, and Directions

The Center for Creative Photography is located in the Fine Arts complex in the northwest corner of the University of Arizona campus, between the Architecture and Harvill buildings. Convenient pay parking is available at the Park Avenue Garage on the northeast corner of Park and Speedway, with direct access to the Center's front door via a pedestrian underpass. The Center is near several Sun Tran bus routes.

Directions from Interstate 10 in Arizona:

  • Drive towards Tucson on Interstate 10 until you reach exit 257 for Speedway Boulevard East / University of Arizona.
  • Drive east on Speedway toward the University of Arizona approx. 1.5 miles until you reach Park Avenue.
  • Make a left onto Park Avenue, then an immediate right into the Park Avenue Garage.
  • Park, then go to the southeast corner of the garage, where the pedestrian underpass will take you underneath Speedway.
  • The Center is the second building on your left, between Architecture and Harvill.

Admission

All exhibitions and public programs at the Center for Creative Photography are free and open to the public.
 

Researchers

Please visit our page for researchers. In addition, the Center's collections of photographs by Ansel Adams, Louise Dahl-Wolfe, Dorothy Norman, Edward Weston, and many other artists are now searchable on the University of Arizona Institutional Repository.
 

Library

The circulating books and periodicals in the CCP library collection has moved to the University of Arizona's Science and Engineering Library. Non-circulating books and periodicals in the CCP Volkerding Rare Book Collection are still located onsite. To search for books and periodicals within our collection, please visit the University Libraries webpage. To make an appointment to view non-circulating material, please email squyresl@ccp.library.arizona.edu or call 520-621-6273. Research Center hours are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday.
