Exhibition Tours
Guided Tours of the current exhibitions are available for kindergarten - college classes in addition to community groups and are tailored to meet the needs of each group. Advanced reservations are required through the Curator of Education, Cass Fey: cass@ccp.library.arizona.edu or 520-626-5211.
Faculty-led tours: Faculty can choose to guide their class through exhibitions or accompany and partner with a Center guide. Faculty are encouraged to take part in our training program, which prepares instructors to guide their students through exhibitions and to develop materials tailored for their individual curricular needs. Additional educational materials may include exhibition overviews, themes to explore, questions for discussion, and models for interpreting photographic images. At training sessions, faculty walk through exhibitions with the Curator of Education to practice suggested techniques for stimulating connections among the art of photography, writing, and other curricula. To take part in this training program contact Curator of Education, Cass Fey: cass@ccp.library.arizona.edu or 520-626-5211.
Print Study
Classes such as photography, the history of photography, art education, library science and museum studies, for whom it is imperative to see original prints, may reserve the print study room to see images from the Center's collection of more than 90,000 photographs. Education staff assist with discussion and with the selection of images by suggesting photographers, techniques, approaches to particular subjects, and various possibilities for integrated learning.
